Solari's Treasures of Florence & Tuscany
Tour with Terrie!

Tuscany, home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in all of Italy! On a journey through Italy's lands where the Medici ruled and amassed some of the most spectacular art ever created, discover its myriad treasures in Florence and Tuscany...incomparable scenery, art, food and wine-you may have to agree that all the good things in life come together in Tuscany! Terrie Viets, owner of Solari, will be your host as you experience life in a luxurious villa, meals prepared by our personal chefs, excursions to breathtaking destinations, and new-found friendships. Terrie has traveled to Italy over 58+ times and has extensive knowledge of Italian culture, its history of artistic craftsmanship, as well as its fabulous food and wine.

Our home for the week will be the incredible Villa Tavernaccia, located only 8 km. from Florence, and situated where the views from all aspects are stunning...with gardens and terraces plus walking paths through ancient olive groves and vineyards. Each double-occupancy bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. Exquisitely decorated and built in the 1700's with the finest attention to detail, the villa will provide a perfect retreat after our daily tours and is surrounded by 32 acres of private garden and evergreen forest right in the prestigious Chianti countryside.

Our excursions include visiting wineries for private tours, tastings and lunch including the 2022 World's Best Vineyard! Together we'll explore Florence, rich in monuments and architectural masterpieces that evoke the power of this town. San Gimignano is Tuscany's "Medieval Manhattan" and bristles with many tall stone towers, all slightly askew, and is one of Italy's prettiest and most atmospheric hill towns. Siena, a great banking and textile rival of Florence in the Middle Ages that has preserved dozens of noble palaces and art-filled churches, none greater than its Gothic-Romanesque Duomo. Volterra, with its archaeological sites from Etruscan and Roman times, this is one of the best Tuscan hill towns to visit for those with an interest in history with its medieval streets and Medici fortress. There are more places and sites included and all are sure to amaze!
