Arte Italica offers high quality and creative tableware and home decor and was formed in 1997 by their late founder Ann Skidmore, as a response to her love of Italian history, culture, art and especially vintage pewter. Finding it difficult to acquire in the United
States, she began importing fine Italian pewter. Soon, she was designing and importing handcrafted ceramics, glass and bronze. In 2000, Ann and Arte Italica became the first to combine pewter and ceramic into beautiful and unique dinnerware and accessories. Only 2 years later, we were fortunate to meet Ann for the first of many times, and began offering these unique handcrafted pieces in our new store. Under its new leadership, Arte Italica continually strives to design and introduce innovative products that cannot be found elsewhere in the marketplace. They take great pride in being trendsetters in their industry with innovative designs, colors and material combinations. Every piece is handcrafted using the same techniques passed down through generations of skilled artisans.
